Project Development Details
V0.5.3 is the current testnet which consists of consensus and storage nodes. Consensus nodes maintain the world state of the CESS network and serve as the data scheduling station in the network. Storage nodes are responsible for providing verifiable storage space and act as the data storage pool in the network. The following are the developments for this week.
Consensus Miner [v0.5.3]
Optimized the code structure of several modules to avoid unnecessary copying of parameter values (#116)
Completed the coding and testing of the batch delete function which supports users to delete multiple data in one transaction.
Started to adjust and reconstruct the code modules of the blockchain, which helps to classify the newly added functions in the near future.
Adjusted the two-way authentication module in Kaleido to the rust-tls method of SGX-SDK
Storage Miner [v0.5.3]
Completed the adaptation of the blockchain framework upgrade, registration, rewards and other functions are normal
The mission of CESS is to provide Web3 with practical storage services. The product ecosystem of the current CESS network is becoming more robust and prosperous. Innovative applications such as decentralized object storage service (DeOSS), online file sharing tool (DeShare), and public chain snapshot storage service have been incubated. Users can experience these functions.
Official Website (cess.cloud)
Confirmed the product prototype and design of the new version of the official website, ready to code.
Block Explorer Framework (Substats)
Optimized the front-end home page components to show users more design details and valuable content.
Optimized database storage and improved front-end content rendering performance.
Online File Sharing Tool (DeShare)
Fixed the problem that the pictures are not fully displayed for some of the generated url links.
Decentralized Object Storage Service (DeOSS)
Added the function of deleting user files in batches, which helps to reduce the number of user operations and transaction fees
CESS continues to contribute to the vitality and development of the Polkadot ecosystem and has joined programs such as the Substrate Builders Program (SBP) and W3F Grants. The following are developments for this week:
SBP-Milestone 3
Successfully completed the report of SBP-M3-Review
Testnet
Overview:
14 consensus nodes and 4189 storage nodes registered with almost 77.86 tib effective storage space within 134 days after the v0.5.3 testnet was launched. More details on the blockchain explorer.
If you encounter any issues building a node, please seek assistance on CESS Discord.
Event:
The miner reward event for the CESS testnet continued as storage and consensus miners can earn points by participating. Points can be exchanged for CESS tokens when the mainnet launches. Latest miner reward list.
