Project Development Details:
Consensus Miner
Optimized some functions of v0.6.0:
· Solved the problem: failed to delete file storage order by having wrong information.
· Solved the problem: backup file was ignored during the proof-of-storage challenge.
· Optimized the backup file scheduling logic of the scheduler.
Storage Miner
Optimized some functions of v0.6.0:
· Tested the file deletion function, it is running stably and normally.
· Updated the backup file storage logic to avoid conflicts with the original file store in the same miner.
DeOSS (Decentralized Object Storage Service)
· Updated the backup file upload and download logic to prevent backup file failure.
Proof-of-Storage
· Completed the development of the RSA public storage proof process, and the algorithm was being optimized.
W3F Grants
·Completed the system testing of Milestone 2, and added comments and inline documentation to the code.
·Completed the verification of the Milestone 2 delivery documents, and the delivery will be on time.
·Completed the development of the main functions of cache miners and the function of having chain nodes to update miner data in milestone 3.
Others
· Optimized Substrate Explorer: optimized the data display of showing available space size and the calculation formula of the storage price.
Testnet
Overview:
12 consensus nodes and 3587 storage nodes registered with almost 48.77 tib effective storage space within 69 days after the v0.5.3 testnet was launched. More details on the blockchain explorer.

Event:
The miner reward event for the CESS testnet continued as storage and consensus miners can earn points by participating. Points can be exchanged for CESS tokens when the mainnet launches. Click here for details.

1.Nicholas Zaldastani, CESS co-founder and chairman participated in the Digital Assets at Duke seminar in Duke University on Jan 20th. The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), Goldman Sachs, Galaxy Digital were among the guests who attended the seminar.
